Job summary

Wipro in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Test Engineer to drive HIL integration and comprehensive testing for the Car Audio BU. You will create test cases from strategy, ensure process adherence, and support Agile toolchains while aligning with the team on test strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of total experience in testing with thorough understanding of test principles (unit, smoke, functional, user acceptance, HIL and usability)
• Excellent domain knowledge of the Test & Verification area
• Audio domain exposure (3+ years) involving test strategies for audio DSP
• Knowledge of audio concepts (DSP, routing, amplifiers) is advantageous
• Familiarity with testing tools (Selenium, Jira, Test Complete) and scripting (Python, VB)
• Awareness of Agile SDLC; experience with BitBucket/Confluence is a plus
• Ability to understand customer specs and design acceptance tests
• Experience collaborating with multi-cultural, distributed teams
• Clear, effective communication with stakeholders
• Knowledge of CI (Jenkins, Bamboo) and revision control (Git)

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for HIL Integration and Testing.
• Create test cases based on the Test strategy.
• Assure the deliverables are according to the process.
• Support Agile teams in tool chain.
• Align with team towards test strategy.
• Triage and analyze test results and incoming feedback to identify areas for improvement
• Ownership of overall quality for the features the team owns. This includes test planning, creation, review, execution, automation, regression testing, defect management and test management during test execution and release certification
• To identify and progress process improvements in test approaches in order to minimise the number of defects reaching production and to minimise elapsed time in testing
• Automate tests using existing test frameworks and to enhance and develop new test frameworks based on test requirements and integrate in CI.
• Actively take part in Cross functional forums.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ year of Toal experience in testing with thorough understanding of test principles such as unit, smoke, functional (black box/white box), user acceptance , HIL and usability testing
• Excellent domain knowledge of the Test & Verification area.
• Good exposure in Audio Source Management, Audio Pre/Post processing, Audio Routing, Amplifiers, A2B/AVB, Android . Atleast 3 year of experience in working in audio domain and creating test strategies accordingly.
• Good knowledge in Audio and DSP concepts
• Use of tools such as OScope, DMM, Spectrum Analyzer, and built in debug tools
• Exposure to testing tools such as, Selenium, QTP, Jira, Test Complete etc.
• Hands on in scripting language Python and VB scripting
• Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies
• Added advantages if experienced in BitBucket and Confluence .
• Ability to understand functional specifications from the customer perspective and design appropriate acceptance tests
• Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different levels of stakeholders
• Good knowledge of prevailing trends in testing domain for agile deliveries
• Ability to analyse defects and suggest corrective actions for early detection
• Hands on Revision control systems (Git, etc) and Continuous Integration systems (Jenkins,Bamboo etc)
• Deep knowledge of Product engineering life cycle
• Prior experience in coming up with automation frameworks and development.
