Job summary

Alphaplan Nextgen Autorobotics is seeking a Senior Mechanical Draughtsman for SPM and automation projects. You will prepare detailed 2D drawings for complex SPM, assembly lines, and EOL systems, translating engineering concepts into precise manufacturing drawings.

You will develop GA and detail drawings, ensure conformity to specifications, coordinate with design engineers and project managers, and support drawing release, BOM accuracy, and revision control to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/BE in Mechanical Engineering is required or preferred.
• Strong command of 2D drafting for SPM and automation projects.
• Excellent understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and drawing standards.
• Experience with BOM accuracy and revision control in manufacturing environments.

Position: Sr Mechanical Draughtsman SPM / Automation

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings for complex SPM, Assembly Lines & EOL systems
• Interpret and convert engineering concepts into precise manufacturing drawings
• Develop GA drawings, detail drawings, and assembly drawings
• Ensure drawings meet technical specifications and project requirements
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical Design Engineers and Project Managers
• Understand critical tolerances, fits, and GD&T requirements
• Prepare fabrication and machining drawings with accuracy
• Support design team in design modifications and updates
• Ensure adherence to drawing standards, BOM accuracy, and revision control
• Work on layout drawings, line balancing layouts, and machine positioning
• Assist in technical documentation and drawing release process
• Coordinate with production, assembly, and quality teams
• Support troubleshooting through drawing corrections during assembly
• Ensure error-free drawings to avoid rework and project delays
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and fabrication standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Inventor (2D focus)
• Ability to handle multiple drawings under tight timelines
• Experience in SPM / Automation / Assembly Line projects is mandatory
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and technical clarity
• Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical Engineering with 3–8 years experience in relevant industry
