Job summary

Indian Compressors Ltd. seeks a Diploma/ITI-trained Draughtsman (Mechanical) to develop 3D models and 2D production drawings for compressor assemblies and sheet metal parts at our Greater Noida facility.

You will generate assembly drawings and BOMs from 3D models, implement design changes, and coordinate with design, production and quality teams to ensure accurate, manufacturable drawings for fabrication and assembly.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI in Draughtsman (Mechanical).
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing or fabrication setup.
• Understanding of GD&T and welding symbols.
• Experience with fabrication, machining and sheet metal processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models and 2D production drawings for compressor assemblies, base frames, skids, canopies and sheet metal parts.
• Generate assembly drawings, exploded views and bills of material from the 3D model.
• Incorporate design changes, maintain revision control and issue drawings to the shop floor and vendors.
• Prepare fabrication drawings with full dimensioning, weld symbols, surface finish and tolerance callouts.
• Prepare piping layouts and isometrics for the air, oil, water and gas circuits, with correct fittings and supports.
• Coordinate with design engineers, production and quality on drawing queries and manufacturability feedback.

Software proficiency:

Command of at least one of Solid Edge or SolidWorks is essential, along with AutoCAD (2D and 3D); familiarity with both is preferred.

• Practical knowledge of fabrication, machining and sheet metal processes.
• Comfortable on the shop floor, taking measurements and resolving queries with fitters and welders.
