Job summary

ANDREW, part of the Amphenol family, invites applications for a Mechanical Drafter in Goa, India. You will lead drawing releases for MWS R&D and production support, create 3D CAD models, and maintain SAP documentation with a focus on quality and speed.

You will collaborate with mechanical engineers, ensure GD&T compliance, and drive standardization across documentation processes while leveraging Power BI for workflow visibility.

Qualifications

• Ability to independently interpret, create, and review complex part and assembly drawings.
• Strong understanding of BOM structures, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Exposure to Mechanical Design Simulation (SolidWorks Simulation or similar).

Responsibilities

• Leading new-product drawing releases in SAP with high accuracy, completeness and strong process ownership.
• Supporting Mechanical Engineers by creating 3D CAD models and detailed part/assembly drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Maintaining and updating Document Information Records for MWS products in SAP to ensure data accuracy and timely release.
• Leading documentation and fast-track project releases focused on quality, speed and standardization.
• Improving CAD standards, drafting templates, and documentation processes to enhance team efficiency and reduce rework.
• Conducting prototype part inspections and participating in First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Leading coordination and review activities to ensure drawings meet GD&T and manufacturability standards, mentoring Drafter I/II.
• Supporting automation initiatives through Power BI dashboards for tracking and reporting.

We are looking for a Mechanical Drafterto join our Microwave Systems team in Goa, India. In this role, you will lead drafting and documentation releases for MWS R&D engineering design and production support.

You Will Make an Impact By:

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Diploma in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience withSolidWorksor similar 3D CAD software.
• Ability to independently interpret, create, and review complex part and assembly drawings.
• Strong understanding ofBOM structures, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience reviewing drafting work and supporting standardization within a team.
• Exposure to Mechanical Design Simulationin prior roles (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools).
