Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in India seeks a mechanical engineer with 4–8 years to drive APQP-based parts development, cost estimation, and PPAP readiness. You will review drawings for manufacturability and coordinate with suppliers to plan processes and tooling.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely development, and adherence to MPDS guidelines, with involvement in feasibility studies and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Production or related field.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in parts development and APQP/PPAP processes.
• BE/B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Production is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop right quality of parts to support desired production levels following APQP.
• Study received drawings and confirm manufacturability.
• Estimate costs component wise & details costing of the components/new part.
• Participate in settling the material and tooling cost within the budgeted values.
• Select the vendor as per guiding policy for the part.
• Plan process at supplier’s end and to prepare PFC (Process Flow Chart) and control plan
• Carry our MSA & SPC if required
• Cover applicable elements of PPAP and complete the documentation
• Be present during PPAP trial run, check the parts and clear PPAP
• Meet the Gateways as per MPDS targets for projects.
• Develop the part with right time and with right cost.
• Ensure right fixtures , gauges & tooling’s are planned for the development
• Ensure first time right PPAP
• Get actively involved in project feasibility studies.
