Job summary

Nature Wildlife Society is seeking a Communications and Documentation Specialist for the Mangrove Afforestation project in Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on building visibility, documenting field activities, and producing engaging materials.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the NGO/development sector.
• Strong English writing, editing and documentation skills; proficiency in Tamil is preferred.
• Experience in developing and implementing communication and visibility strategies for projects.

Responsibilities

• Document project activities, outcomes, field experiences and community stories.
• Prepare reports, case studies, success stories, press releases, newsletters and knowledge products.
• Develop and manage content for social media and website platforms.
• Support project visibility, outreach and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate with the field/project team to collect information, photographs, data and stories.
• Support preparation of progress reports, presentations, concept notes and donor communication materials.
• Document workshops, training, meetings, field events and community initiatives.
• Maintain an organised repository of photographs, videos, reports and other communication materials.
• Support seminars, workshops, campaigns and other project events.
• Travel to field locations as required for documentation and communication assignments.
