Job summary

DMart in Bengaluru seeks a Sr Godown officer to manage warehousing operations. You will lead a 10–15 person team, coordinate with purchasing for vendor scheduling, and ensure safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee GRN, stock takes, and daily task allocations while training staff and reporting to the Store Manager. Ideal candidates have 3.5–6 years in godown operations, graduation in any field, and are up to 32 years old.

Qualifications

• 3.5 to 6 years of experience in warehouse/godown operations.
• Graduation in any discipline is acceptable.
• Age up to 32 years as per job criteria.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vendor schedules in coordination with purchase.
• Lead a team of 10–15 in the godown and manage daily/weekly/monthly RO TA.
• Inform ASM/SM about recruitment gaps and allocate tasks to team members.
• Train and guide new joinees and existing staff in godown operations.
• Ensure adherence to Receiving processes and debit controls to prevent pilferage.
• Plan godown layout and stacking norms complying with safety and hygiene, FSSAI norms.
• Coordinate with floor team to ensure shelf stock availability and GRN accuracy.
• Prepare stock takes without disrupting store operations.
• Report to Store Manager on performance and issues.

Timely intimation to ASM and SM if recruitment gaps appear. Allocation of task to team members, train & guide new joinees and existing staff in godown. Ensure adherence to processes at Receiving & Debit to vendors to control pilferage. Prepare the godown layout and decide the stacking norms to ensure safety, hygiene and adherence to FSSAI norms. Coordinate with floor team to ensure availability of stocks on the shelves. Closely coordinated with GRN team for timely preparation of GRN. Preparation for stock take without disturbing the store functioning. Reports to the Store Manager.
