Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. seeks a quality engineer to analyse and resolve quality issues in supplied electrical/electronic parts. You will develop countermeasures and drive their deployment at supplier facilities, guiding vendors on manufacturing processes and QMS controls to sustain high quality levels.

You will work with cross-functional teams to identify production gaps, contribute to APQP/PPAP processes, and lead theme-based quality improvement initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Root-cause analysis to identify quality issues in electrical/electronic parts.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, Peak Volume Trials.
• Knowledge of QMS systems (ISO, IATF).
• Ability to guide vendors for process improvement and standardization.
• Capability to work in cross-functional teams and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quality issues reported at MSIL for supplied electrical and electronic parts.
• Implement countermeasures and deploy at suppliers.
• Guide vendors for process improvements and standardization of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and controls.
• Drive theme-based quality improvements through CFT approach.
• Identify gaps in production processes, end-of-line testing, fixtures, gauges, dies & molds.

Job description

• a) Analysing the quality issues reported at MSIL for supplied electrical and electronic parts.
• b) Taking effective countermeasures for the quality issues observed at MSIL and horizontal deployment at suppliers.
• 1. High analytical and problem solving capability to find out the root cause of quality problems and implement countermeasures (including horizontal deployment) at vendors.
• c) Guidance to electrical and electronic part vendors for improvement and standardization of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and their controls for sustaining quality.
• Knowledge and Hands on experience of Electrical & Electronic Parts.
• 2.Awareness of development systems like APQP, PPAP, Peak Volume Trials etc.
• 3. Should be capable of identifying gaps in production process of automotive electrical/electronic parts, end of line testing, fixtures, gauges, dies & molds.
• 4. Knowledge of QMS system eg.- ISO, IATF
• 5. Additional Skills :
