Job summary

VOIS, the Vodafone Intelligent Solutions unit, seeks a finance professional to support Capex accounting, analysis and reporting in a shared services setting. You will contribute to month-end close, balance sheet integrity and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.

This role requires IFRS/GAAP knowledge, SAP experience and strong analytical skills to deliver accurate Capex spend insights across Vodafone entities. Join a global team focused on process improvement and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial accounting with IFRS/GAAP knowledge.
• Capex budgeting, analysis and fixed asset management experience.
• Familiarity with SAP and month-end close processes.
• Exposure to Power BI for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly Budget versus Actual Capex data with variance analysis.
• Manage month-end close activities including depreciation, accruals and provisions.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations monthly to a high standard.
• Collaborate with FinOps and business stakeholders for Capex spend analysis.
• Use SAP to analyse asset-related risks and ensure appropriate provisions in the FA register.
• Maintain SOX controls, including annual sign-offs and policy adherence.
• Liaise with commercial accountants and market teams to communicate performance.
• Support monthly reporting, forecasting inputs, audits and year-end certification.

About this Role

We are seeking a finance professional to support capital expenditure (Capex) accounting, financial analysis, and reporting within a shared services environment. This role plays a key part in month-end close, balance sheet integrity, stakeholder collaboration with local market finance teams, and adherence to group accounting policies and controls. It is well suited to an individual who enjoys analytical work, cross-functional interaction, and continuous process improvement in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyse monthly Budget versus Actual Capex data, including variance analysis.
• Manage month-end close activities, including depreciation analysis, accruals, provisions, and related approvals.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations monthly to a high standard.
• Collaborate with local market FinOps teams and business stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure accurate Capex spend analysis.
• Use financial systems such as SAP to analyse asset-related risks and ensure appropriate provisions in the fixed asset register.
• Maintain SOX controls, including annual sign-offs, and ensure compliance with group accounting policies.
• Liaise with commercial accountants and market teams to communicate in-period and year-to-date financial performance.
• Support monthly reporting, forecasting inputs, audit activities, and interim or year-end certification requirements.
• Process asset creation, changes, and capitalisation based on business inputs.
• Deliver reporting within agreed service level agreements and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Who you are

A qualified or part-qualified accounting professional. Experienced in financial accounting, with strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Comfortable working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledgeable in IFRS or GAAP accounting principles. Confident in written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders. Experienced in using MS Office tools; SAP knowledge is an advantage. Able to exercise independent judgement and interpret complex financial data. Exposure to HFM reporting, Power BI, or automotive accounting is beneficial but not essential.
