OLF works to strengthen government school education by partnering closely with district administrations and state governments to improve student learning outcomes at scale, through the Acharya Vinoba Bhave Shikshak Sahayak Program.

Role

The Divisional Manager leads the implementation and scaling of the Vinoba Program across multiple districts. This role bridges state leadership and district-level teams, strengthens government partnerships, and uses data to drive continuous improvement in program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full implementation of the Vinoba Program across all assigned districts
• Guide district teams in building and executing strategic plans aligned with local needs
• Identify effective practices and scale them across districts to improve learning outcomes
• Build strong, lasting relationships with district and block-level government officials
• Represent the organization in government forums, reviews, and stakeholder meetings
• Mentor and guide Program Managers and Project Officers across divisions
• Build a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation within teams
• Use data and monitoring tools to track program effectiveness and guide decisions
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting from districts and support course correction
• Ensure compliance with operational, financial, and administrative standards
• Support budget planning and resource management across divisions
• Contribute to state-level strategy and organizational development

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Rural Management, Economics, Education, or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in education, NGO leadership, or large-scale program management
• At least 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional or multi-district teams
• Proven experience working with district administrations, Zilla Parishads, and DIET systems
• Strong commitment to improving education in government schools
• Skilled in using data to identify challenges and shape solutions
• Comfortable with MS Office, Google Workspace, and tools like Google Sheets, Tableau, and Asana
• Strong budget and resource management skills
• Proficiency in English, Hindi, and the local language
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Practical, solution-focused approach with strong ownership and integrity
