Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Mumbai is seeking an Electrical/ Civil Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to prepare distribution layouts and designs using ArcGIS, Pole Foreman, Ocalc, AUD, and related software, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and client requirements.

You will review submissions, participate in client meetings, and collaborate with the discipline lead engineer to take on increasing responsibilities while adhering to Quality Systems Procedures.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering
• Experience in transmission & distribution is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, analysis software/tools, Google Earth, ArcGIS
• Knowledge of overhead construction methods and distribution equipment
• Familiar with easements, right-of-way, and permitting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willing to work with clients globally and adapt to different roles
• Familiarity with codes such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318

Description

• Prepare distribution layouts, designs in various distribution software's like ArcGIS, Pole foreman, Ocalc, AUD, etc. and reports to be carried out in accordance with relevant codes of practice, standards, regulatory authorities, and clients' requirements. All under a suitable level of supervision from a Experienced/Senior Engineer.
• Carry out appropriate reviews of submissions and provide review reports.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients.
• Willing to advance in career by taking increased engineering design responsibilities by closely working with discipline lead engineer
• Ensure that all duties are carried out according to the company's Quality Systems Procedures.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively with internal team members and US team members.
