Job summary

AmTrust is seeking a Director of Workers Compensation Claims to lead technical training strategies and develop a comprehensive training program within the Claims Department. You will report to the Vice President of Claims Technical and oversee a team of three Technical Claim Specialists.

The role focuses on defining training needs, building a content library, and delivering training across the claim lifecycle, from associate to senior examiner, with a roadmap for staff development and ongoing

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of Workers Compensation claim experience.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to mentor, train, and be a leader within the organization.
• Effective communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership.
• Ability to independently manage multiple claim and project teams.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a matrixed organizational structure.
• CPCU, AIC designation, adjuster licensing program or other industry training programs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Training and Development: prioritize needs and deliver technical training; collaborate with Learning & Development; use data to identify needs and implement plans.
• Training Content: build a technical training library with online and classroom modules for staff from Associate to Senior Examiner.
• Technical development: create and deliver training on the claim lifecycle including coverage analysis, investigation, litigation management, compliance, reserving, return-to-work, cost containment, medical causation.
• New Hire onboarding: manage onboarding process with offices to ensure readiness.
• Development Roadmap: define a roadmap for junior staff development with KPIs.
• Claim Associate Program: lead training programs to transition Associates to productive adjusters.
• Support: coordinate with Zonal leads to meet evolving needs and ensure consistency.
• Communication: provide leaders with updates on training programs.

Responsibilities

• Training Content: Working in partnership with Learning & Development, reputed company the building of training content and a technical training library that is inclusive of both online and classroom modules, and that aligns to support the ongoing development of technical staff from Associate to Senior Examiner.
• Technical reputed company Development: reputed company the creation and delivery of technical training on the claim lifecycle, including coverage analysis, investigation, litigation management, jurisdictional compliance, reserving practices, return-to-work efforts, cost containment strategies, medical causation, and similar programs.
