Job summary

FlexBoard is seeking a Director of Reconciliation & FinTech Engineering to own the end-to-end reconciliation, payout flows, and ledgering logic. You will bridge Finance and Engineering, translating requirements and driving a durable, auditable solution.

You will lead architecture, governance, and cross-functional initiatives with high ambiguity, building scalable processes and robust controls for all payout and settlement activities.

Qualifications

• Director-level experience in financial systems or payments.
• Strong understanding of ledgering, settlement flows, and reconciliation logic.
• Ability to diagnose issues and guide engineering toward sustainable fixes.
• Excellent communication with Finance and Engineering and translate between them.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end reconciliation and payout domain, including ledgering logic and exception handling.
• Deeply understand data flows from capture to payout and where it breaks, and why.
• Document tribal knowledge into a maintainable, auditable operational model.
• Define architectural direction for long-term fixes to payout calculations, aligned with Finance and Engineering.
• Partner with engineering to design and implement accurate and resilient reconciliation systems.
• Translate requirements between Finance and Engineering, ensuring mutual understanding of constraints and impacts.
• Define product requirements, roadmap, and metrics for reconciliation systems.
• Identify causes of discrepancies and drive cross-functional improvements.
• Build controls and reporting for audit readiness and governance.
