Job summary

Valmiki Leela Capital Private Limited in Mumbai is seeking a Director to lead its Pre-IPO Division. You will own deal sourcing, fundraising, and strategic investor engagement, driving growth and mandated transactions across the IPO/pre-IPO lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings a strong network with promoters, CXOs, and investors, at least 10 years in merchant/investment banking, and a proven track record of sourcing deals and converting mandates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Merchant Banking, Investment Banking, ECM, IPO, Pre-IPO or Equity Fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of Pre-IPO projects from deal sourcing and mandate acquisition to fundraising and final closure.
• Lead fundraising strategy through relationships with HNIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, AIFs, Wealth Management Firms and strategic investors.
• Source and convert new Pre-IPO fundraising opportunities through promoters, founders, CXOs, business groups and market networks.
• Hire, build and lead the research, deal analysis and fundraising teams required for successful transaction execution.
• Lead and coordinate with Research, Compliance, Legal, Finance and other teams across the complete transaction lifecycle.
• Act as the senior relationship owner for promoters and management teams, driving mandates and long-term business relationships.
• Build a strong pipeline of new IPO/Pre-IPO opportunities, drive mandate conversion, fundraising and overall revenue growth of the division.
