Overview
The Innovation Management System (IMS) leads the transformation by defining, developing, deploying, and strengthening the processes that power our Innovation Roadmap. The PRD Implementation & Change Management Leader serves as a global process, adoption, and change leader for GE HealthCare’s Phase Review Discipline and Product Lifecycle processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Partner with the PRD Design Senior Director and the IMS team to drive global PRD and Product Lifecycle processes and the enterprise learning strategy.
- Ensure that PRD processes and tools support user‑centered, customer‑centered, compliant, and efficient design and development practices.
- Collaborate across all SBUs, GEHC Digital, Service, Quality, Regulatory, and Technology teams to deliver global high‑priority changes.
- Champion a quality‑driven and customer‑focused culture by defining and implementing PRD and Product Lifecycle processes that elevate design rigor and user experience.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve global procedures, work instructions, guidance, and learning materials.
- Provide consistent and timely global messaging regarding PRD and Product Lifecycle standard work, and enforce processes and metrics that enable measuring and improving performance.
- Lead and implement improvements across the product development lifecycle from Idea through End of Product Life to ensure continuity, compliance, and adoption of enhanced practices.
- Engage closely with the IMS team to deploy standard work that strengthens product development discipline.
- Partner with senior leadership to define strategic PRD and lifecycle process changes, presenting recommendations, risks, and program status.
- Actively involve end users in decision making, pilot cycles, feedback loops, and iterative refinements.
- Monitor external industry and regulatory trends and represent GE HealthCare with regulators, standards bodies, or industry working groups.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and guide teams to adopt new perspectives using Change Acceleration Process (CAP) methodologies.
- Lead teams to identify innovative solutions to complex problems and coach and develop team members.
- Build inclusive and diverse program teams that reflect GE HealthCare’s culture.
- Support regulatory inspections, inquiries, and reportable events by ensuring compliant documentation and traceability.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 10 years of work experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years working in a regulated medical device industry.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory, management, or program leadership experience.
- Experience as a Lead System Designer or significant multi‑function core team leadership.
- Experience across the entire product lifecycle.
- Experience as an Installed Base Engineering Leader or equivalent role.
Desired Characteristics
- Advanced degree or certification/training in Engineering, Science, or Technology.
- Experience leading and executing product lifecycle processes within the medical device industry.
- Familiarity with Design Controls, Risk Management, product development/NPI, and product lifecycle management.
- Experience planning and executing change management efforts across a business.
- Expertise in process design and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Established process development and project management skills.
- Experience with ISO 13485, US 21 CFR 820, and other applicable regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to define, communicate, and execute strategy under crisis while ensuring compliance.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with ability to influence and build consensus.
- Excellent communication skills: presentation, verbal, and written.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
