JD: Director Hardware Engineering Renewable Energy
Location: Pune
Key Responsibilities
● Lead and manage complete product development lifecycle from hardware engineering to system architecture.
● Work with all stakeholders to prototype, test and deploy new products into operation.
● Responsible for design, development, of AC-DC & DC-DC SMPS, Flyback, Forward, Full Bridge, Half Bridge, and Push-Pull Converter for low, medium, and high Voltage
● Develop and validate power electronics for high power battery chargers.
● Develop and verify digital and analog power electronics control hardware.
● Performing analysis such as Derating, FMECA (Failure mode, effects and criticality analysis), Reliability, Theta-JC, DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
● Design of converter which includes Selection of Topology, MOSFET, Capacitors, PWM IC, Driver circuit.
● Create test procedures to verify hardware designs.
● Develop and test power electronic circuits, digital logic, microcomputer and analog circuits.
● Ensure products satisfy UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, EU and EN requirements.
● Prepare product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics.
● Design, develop control systems and electrical hardware for various R&D projects related to electrification.
● Prepare product reports and documentation (Requirement specification doc, Systems diagram, Flowchart, Firmware architecture, Code documentation, etc.)
● Capture design specification in well documented requirement specifications and evolve appropriate systems architecture.
Pre-requisites
● B.E/M.E/B.Tech/M.Tech Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
● Proven competency in analog and digital circuit design and validation using Altium, Or CAD or other relevant tools.
● Experience using simulation and modeling tools such as PSpice.
● Proficient in rapid prototyping techniques.
● Advanced user of oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers and other instruments.
● Well versed in design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) process.
● Strong critical thinking / problem solving skills.
● Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where
● only limited standardization may exist.
● Solid understanding of core concepts including Power Electronics, Analogue Circuits, Microcontrollers, Embedded C & C ++ etc, Firmware, Mini Grid, Micro Grid, IOT, Renewable Battery Charger, high Voltage, Solar base.
● Creativity and analytical skills Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
● Team Player, Can work well with maintaining track of projects during pilot and full rollout to production.
