BNY invites an experienced Director, Full Stack Engineer to lead hands-on technical teams in Pune. The role emphasizes architecture design, scalable systems, and secure coding with AI-enabled tooling.

You will mentor engineers, set a high engineering bar, and drive cloud-native microservices, data stores, and APIs, delivering reliable software at scale through collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development experience with full‑stack and system architecture depth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and the design of RESTful and streaming‑based APIs.
• Hands‑on experience delivering cloud‑native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores, selected and applied appropriately at scale.
• Experience leveraging AI‑enabled capabilities—including GenAI or ML‑driven services—to enhance developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated depth in full‑stack engineering and system / application architecture.
• Prior experience in securities, financial services, or modern engineering‑first organizations is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and the design of RESTful and streaming‑based APIs.
• Hands‑on experience delivering cloud‑native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores, selected and applied appropriately at scale.
• Experience leveraging AI‑enabled capabilities—including GenAI or ML‑driven services—to enhance developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes, with a pragmatic understanding of responsible use, scalability, and integration into enterprise platforms.
