Job summary

Volante Technologies in Chennai seeks an experienced Director of Cloud Infrastructure to lead strategy, architecture, and the operations of our cloud platform supporting mission-critical SaaS fintech solutions. • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute cloud infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead and develop global teams across Cloud Operations, NOC, and DB administration.
• Ensure reliability, security, DR, and SLA compliance for SaaS platforms.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director – Cloud Infrastructure to lead the strategy, architecture, operations, and continuous evolution of our cloud platform supporting mission-critical SaaS solutions in the fintech and payments domain. This role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, scalability, security, operational excellence, and cost optimization across Azure and AWS while leading a global 24x7 infrastructure organization.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the cloud infrastructure strategy aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams across:
  • o Cloud Operations & Production Support
  • o Network Operations Center (NOC)
  • o Database Administration (MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, disaster recovery, and operational resilience while meeting customer SLAs.
• Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, Customer Success, and Compliance teams to deliver secure and resilient cloud platforms.
• Lead major incident management, executive escalations, capacity planning, and continuous service improvements.
• Own cloud governance, infrastructure standards, technology roadmaps, vendor management, and cloud cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years of IT Infrastructure experience with at least 8 years leading enterprise infrastructure or cloud organizations.
• Proven experience managing global 24x7 operations supporting enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other highly regulated environments is preferred.

Required Skills

• Mandatory hands-on experience with both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, Kubernetes, networking, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, observability, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
• Experience managing enterprise middleware, databases, and cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Mandatory Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert OR AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
