Job summary

Exeter Premedia Services seeks a Director of Operations & Business to lead end-to-end organization operations, drive statutory and corporate compliance, build governance frameworks, and champion process excellence through Six Sigma.

You will manage cross-functional and cross-border relationships for a fast-scaling technology/engineering organization and scale teams while maintaining zero compliance failures.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Director Operations & Business to lead end-to-end organization operations, drive statutory and corporate compliance, establish strong corporate governance frameworks, champion process excellence through Six Sigma and quality frameworks, and manage cross-functional and cross-border stakeholder relationships for a fast-scaling technology/engineering organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of building operational and digital infrastructure from the ground up and scaling teams rapidly while maintaining zero compliance failures.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Corporate Compliance

• Establish and maintain corporate governance frameworks, policies, and internal controls across all business entity.
• Ensure board-level and management reporting cadence, decision documentation, accountability structures.
• Drive governance around data security, IT systems access, and risk management.
• Act as a key liaison between local operations and parent company governance requirements, ensuring policy alignment across jurisdiction.

Operations & Program Management

• Own end-to-end operations for a 100+ member organization, ensuring efficiency,compliance, and seamless execution.
• Drive multi-project program management across technology initiatives (ERP/Fusion, integrations, custom digital systems and application).
• Apply Six Sigma and process-improvement methodologies to drive operational efficiency, quality control, and continuous improvemen
• Author and maintain SOPs, internal policies, governance documentation, and process controls.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across Engineering, HR, Legal, and Technology test to ensure aligned execution.

Corporate, Legal & Compliance

• Manage corporate legal affairs including contracts, NDAs, SLAs, and IP registration (Patent, Trademark, Copyright, Industrial Design).
• Oversee statutory audits, tax audits, ISO certification and audit management, NCA compliance, and VAPT security testing.Manage Foreign Inward Remittance settlements and related statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards across all business entities jurisdiction.

Technology & Digital Systems

• Oversee deployment and administration of enterprise digital systems, including HRMS, ERP, and custom-built technology platforms (Construction Management, As Management, Fleet Management, AI automation tools).
• Evaluate and drive adoption of new technology and digital tools to improve operational efficiency across functions.Establish IT governance protocols including data access, system security, and vendor technology risk management .
• Partner with technology vendors and internal engineering teams on system integration and platform scalability.

Business Development & Growth

• Lead tendering, proposal structuring, and solution positioning for enterprise government clients.
• Evaluate and manage vendor outsourcing, technology partnerships, and white-labeled solutions, with governance oversight on contracts and SLA.
• Oversee digital marketing and brand visibility initiatives supporting business growth.

Stakeholder Management

• Ensure governance alignment on strategy, compliance, and delivery through structured coordination across cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate cross-border stakeholder communication, reporting, decision-making and escalation management.
• Deliver monthly MIS reporting, governance updates, and executive briefings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Business preferred)
• 10+ years in operations leadership, with demonstrated experience scaling teams an functions from early-stage to 100+ employees.
• Strong working knowledge of Indian labour law, statutory compliance, corporate governance, ISO frameworks, and IP/corporate legal processes.
• Six Sigma / process excellence exposure preferred (Green Belt/Black Belt or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience managing digital systems/technology platforms and driving cross-function collaboration.
• Experience managing cross-border stakeholders, multi-entity operations and governance reporting structures.
