Job summary

Spml-Infra-Ltd at Kekri-Sarwar Water Supply System, Ajmer, Rajasthan invites applications for a site engineer role. Fresh graduates (0–2 years) with a Diploma in Civil Engineering will support the site civil execution team, study drawings and BOQ, and aid in quality, safety, and progress reporting on site.

Coordinate with subcontractors and labours, assist in DPR preparation, monitor daily activities, and ensure compliance with ITPs, specs and timelines. Full-time, site-based EPC project.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering required with basic knowledge of civil drawings and BOQ.
• Fresher or 0–2 years site experience preferred; willingness to work at project/site locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Engineers in execution and supervision of civil construction activities at the project site.
• Study approved civil drawings, BOQ, specifications and method statements.
• Support activities including excavation, earthwork, PCC/RCC, reinforcement, shuttering and foundation works.
• Monitor day-to-day site activities and ensure execution as per drawings and instructions.
• Assist in checking line, level, alignment, dimensions, and quantity of executed work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, labour, surveyors, QA/QC, safety, planning and stores teams.
• Maintain daily records of manpower, materials, progress, and site activities; prepare DPRs.
• Support measurement for BOQ and subcontractor billing; ensure material availability.
• Ensure compliance with ITPs, safety procedures and quality standards; participate in site meetings.

Job Purpose

To support the site civil execution team in carrying out construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Site Engineers in execution and supervision of civil construction activities at the project site.
• Study and understand approved civil drawings, BOQ, specifications, and method statements.
• Support activities such as:
  • Excavation and earthwork
  • PCC/RCC works
  • Reinforcement and shuttering
  • Foundation and structural works
  • Masonry and plastering
  • Road, drainage and flooring works
  • Equipment foundations and related civil works
• Monitor day-to-day site activities and ensure execution as per approved drawings and instructions.
• Assist in checking line, level, alignment, dimensions, and quantity of executed work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, labour teams, surveyors, QA/QC, safety, planning, and stores teams.
• Maintain daily records of manpower, materials, work progress, and site activities.
• Assist in preparation of Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and other project documentation.
• Support measurement of completed work for BOQ and subcontractor billing.
• Ensure proper utilization and availability of construction materials at site.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and required quality checks.
• Follow approved ITP, method statements, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Report construction issues, drawing discrepancies, material shortages, and site constraints to the reporting engineer.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with project HSE requirements.
• Participate in site meetings and provide updates regarding assigned activities.
• Assist in maintaining as-built records and other relevant site documentation.
• Perform any other civil/project-related responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or reporting authority.

Required Technical Skills

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Basic knowledge of civil construction and EPC project execution.
• Ability to read and understand civil drawings and BOQ.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Understanding of measurements and quantity calculations.
• Basic knowledge of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, concrete, earthwork, and finishing works.
• Basic knowledge of construction quality and safety practices.
• MS Office knowledge, particularly Excel and Word.
• Willingness to work at project/site locations.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong learning attitude and ability to work under supervision.
• Teamwork and discipline.
