Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Automation & Transformation professional to drive process simplification, digitization, and standardization across functions.

You will partner with Technology teams, vendors, and process owners to scope initiatives, prepare business cases, and monitor benefits realization, delivering measurable efficiency gains and risk mitigation.

Formación

• 4 to 8 years of total experience in Banking or financial services.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Automation, Process Excellence, or Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Experience in process mapping, business analysis, project implementation, or automation initiatives.
• Certifications in BPM/Automation are preferred.

• To contribute to the Bank’s automation and transformation agenda by identifying, assessing, and implementing opportunities to simplify, standardize, digitize, and automate processes across the organization, thereby enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, customer experience, and control effectiveness.
• Identify and evaluate automation opportunities across business and support functions through process assessment, feasibility analysis, stakeholder discussions, and documentation of current-state and future-state processes.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end execution of automation initiatives by working with process owners, Technology teams, developers, vendors, partners, and testing teams for requirement gathering, solution implementation, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation monitoring.
• Deliver measurable business outcomes by tracking productivity gains, reduction in manual intervention, cost savings, turnaround time improvement, risk mitigation, and control effectiveness in line with the Bank’s strategic automation and transformation priorities.

• Financial exposure of approximately ₹1 crore to ₹2 crore towards CAPEX / OPEX for automation and transformation initiatives, including solution implementation, technology enhancements, vendor engagements, process automation tools, and related project execution costs.
• Manage pipeline of 50–60 automation opportunities at any point in time.
• Coordinate with 8–10 internal functions and external vendors/partners.
• Support delivery of 30–40 automation initiatives annually.
• Track 20+ project milestones, risks, dependencies, and benefits across initiatives.
• Perform feasibility study of process – 200 to 300
• Prepare monthly dashboards, trackers, status updates, and benefit realization reports.
• KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• Prepare business cases, effort‑benefit assessments, and cost‑benefit analysis for proposed automation initiatives.
• Track financial and operational benefits including cost savings, man‑hour reduction, TAT improvement, and productivity gains.
• Prepare dashboards and updates for management review on automation pipeline, progress, and benefit realization.

Customer (Both Internal & External)

• Engage with business and support functions to capture process pain points, user needs, and automation requirements.
• Drive automation initiatives that improve customer experience, employee experience, service quality, and turnaround time.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and partners for timely clarification, implementation, and adoption of solutions.
• Support rollout communication, user readiness, adoption tracking, and feedback closure for implemented automations.

Internal Process

• Conduct process discovery, feasibility assessment, and current‑state / future‑state process documentation.
• Maintain automation opportunity pipeline, project trackers, milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items.
• Prepare BRDs, SOPs, process notes, test scenarios, implementation documents, and governance updates.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance requirements, audit expectations, and approved governance frameworks.

Automation & Transformation

• Coordinate delivery of automation solutions including RPA, workflow automation, MIS automation, system enhancements, and digital tools.
• Work with Technology teams, developers, vendors, and testing teams for solution design, build, UAT, deployment, and stabilization.
• Monitor automation performance post implementation and identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and reuse.
• Support standardization of automation templates, governance practices, reporting formats, and implementation playbooks.

Innovation & Learning

• Track emerging trends in automation, AI, process excellence, digital transformation, and banking technology.
• Identify relevant use cases for intelligent automation, analytics‑led process improvement, and operational simplification.
• Conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions and awareness discussions with stakeholders on automation possibilities and best practices.
• Continuously improve documentation, delivery practices, and solution adoption based on lessons learnt from completed initiatives.

Educational

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Engineering, Technology, Management, Operations, Finance, Banking, or equivalent.

Experience (Years and Core Experience Type)

• 4 to 8 years of total experience Banking
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in Automation, Process Excellence, Business Transformation, Operational Excellence, Intelligent Automation, or Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Experience in process mapping, business analysis, project implementation, or automation initiatives.

Certifications

• UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Platform, or equivalent automation certifications preferred.
• PMP, Agile, Change Management, or Project Management certifications preferred.
• Business Process Management or Process Excellence certifications preferred.
