Job summary

Impacto Technologies in Pune is seeking a Press Tool Designer (CATIA) to lead tooling design for sheet metal parts. You will estimate design sequences and develop tools for blanking, piercing, drawing, trimming and flaring, while coordinating tool assembly and trials with production teams.

Proficiency in CATIA and a solid understanding of machining processes (milling, grinding, VMC, wire cut) are essential.

Qualifications

• Estimate press tool design sequence.
• Design sheet metal press tools (blanking, piercing, drawing, trimming, flaring).
• Knowledge of machining processes (milling, grinding, VMC, wire cut).
• Good knowledge of tool assembly and trials for sheet metal parts.
• Ability to understand customer requirements for the product.

Responsibilities

• Estimate press tool design sequence and plan the design workflow.
• Design and develop sheet metal press tools for blanking, piercing, drawing, trimming, and flaring.
• Coordinate with machining/production for tool assembly and trials.
• Interpret customer requirements and translate into tooling specifications.
