The Dialysis Technician supports the delivery of dialysis services by preparing dialysis equipment, checking machine functionality, assisting with treatment procedures, and monitoring patients during dialysis under the supervision of qualified clinical professionals. The involves maintaining hygiene, following infection prevention protocols, preparing consumables, and documenting technical observations. The technician helps ensure safe equipment operation, timely reporting of abnormalities, and adherence to established dialysis unit procedures.

• Prepare dialysis machines and treatment areas before scheduled procedures.
• Check machine functionality, alarms, and safety parameters before use.
• Perform equipment disinfection and cleaning according to established protocols.
• Prepare dialysis consumables and supplies for treatment.
• Assist qualified clinical staff during dialysis procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance throughout treatment.
• Observe patients for visible signs of discomfort or distress and immediately inform nursing staff.
• Report machine alarms, technical faults, and unusual findings promptly.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Handle dialysis equipment and consumables according to manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain dialysis machine logs and equipment maintenance records.
• Assist with routine quality checks of dialysis equipment and water systems as assigned.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of dialysis supplies.
