Job summary

Adler Talent Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced AGM Substation Electrical Design lead for high-voltage substations (132 kV+). You will direct design activities, coordinate with civil and structural teams, and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards while delivering quality engineering documents.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced AGM Substation Electrical Design to lead and manage electrical design engineering activities for high-voltage substations, particularly 132 kV and above. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in substation design, engineering coordination, design reviews, and project execution support for transmission and power infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical design engineering activities for high-voltage substations rated 132 kV and above.
• Develop, review, and approve substation electrical design drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Oversee the preparation and review of Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Review protection and control schemes, metering, interlocking, AC/DC auxiliary systems, and substation control systems.
• Manage the design of busbar arrangements, equipment selection, electrical clearances, and substation layouts.
• Review grounding/earthing system designs, lightning protection, cable routing, cable schedules, and lighting layouts.
• Coordinate with civil and structural design teams for foundations, equipment layouts, trenches, cable ducts, and other interface requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, IEEE, and other relevant international standards and project specifications.
• Conduct technical reviews, resolve design-related issues, and ensure the quality and accuracy of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and project execution teams to ensure timely completion of design activities.
• Monitor design schedules, manage engineering resources, and provide technical guidance to the design team.
• Support tendering activities, technical evaluations, equipment specifications, and vendor drawing reviews.
• Ensure that all design deliverables meet project requirements, quality standards, and contractual timelines.
