Job summary

Efkon India is seeking a civil/substation engineer to lead design reviews and on-site execution for substations and related works in Uttar Pradesh. You will develop foundations, buildings, cable trenches, and drainage systems, coordinating with electrical and mechanical teams.

The role demands hands-on site experience, knowledge of IS codes, and strong communication to report progress and resolve field challenges.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of civil engineering design and construction related to substations, including foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, drainage systems, and equipment plinths.
• Familiarity with RCC design concepts, bar bending schedules (BBS), formwork systems, and finishing works.
• Proven experience in site execution of civil works for substations, switchyards, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience in excavation, concreting, structural works, and finishing.
• Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors, and multiple work fronts simultaneously.
• Effective coordination with electrical, mechanical, and other interfacing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Proactive approach in identifying and resolving construction challenges such as design issues, site constraints, and resource limitations.
• Familiarity with relevant civil engineering codes and standards (e.g., IS codes), project specifications, and industry best practices.
