Job summary

Aditya Birla Group is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer with 8–10 years of Substation design experience to support equipment supporting structures, steel structures, and foundations for substations and related sectors.

The role requires proficiency in STAAD software and a strong background in Civil and Structural design for substations, transformers, and associated equipment foundations, with an emphasis on quality and coordination with project teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Substation engineering.
• Must have worked in Staad Software in Analysis & Design.
• Specialist Engineer in Engineering Design & Detailing of Civil & Structural works of Substation Projects.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Substation, Solar & Wind experience of Civil & Structural Design, site preparation and ground treatment technologies, and foundation design.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in Design of Steel & Concrete Structure like MCR, HT Switchgear Room Building, Steel Tower & equipment support structures.
• Proficiency in design of shallow foundations including design of Equipment foundations like Power Transformer, CT, CVT, Isolator, Tower Foundation.
• Develops optimized design for soil foundation systems like Power Transformer Foundation, Steel & Concrete Structures in conformity with quality standards requirements.
• Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers and plan, co-ordinate, execute and control the geotechnical engineering activities for a project or a proposal in accordance with project requirements.
• Knowledge of Site grading drawings, road & paving layouts, drainage layouts etc.
• Initiate and manage studies with external Contractors and Consultants. Prepares and follow-up Subcontracts associated to the design of Substation consultant/Vendors.
• Knowledge of Solar PV area will be an added advantage.
