Job summary

Infinityquest It Services is seeking a DevOps Engineer to drive a major migration and platform modernization across quarters. The role focuses on transforming CI/CD tooling, cloud infrastructure, and engineering practices within the Platform estate.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with GCP, Jenkins, Harness, Maven, Git/GitHub, and IaC automation to deliver enterprise-grade changes and improve deployment velocity.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on Jenkins pipeline development and administration.
• Experience implementing Harness CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub repository management and branching.
• Experience with Maven build automation and Helm charts.
• Experience delivering large-scale migration or transformation initiatives.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting with Shell, Python, or Groovy.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support migration activities across DevOps toolchain and cloud platforms.
• Migrate Jenkins pipelines to Harness with minimal disruption.
• Migrate repositories from GitHub.com to GitHub EU enterprise cloud.
• Contribute to GCP adoption and cloud modernization.
• Migrate and standardise build and deployment pipelines onto the engineering platform.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes using IaC and CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Platform, Security, and Architecture to ensure compliance.
• Resolve technical debt and manage migration backlog.
• Improve platform reliability and deployment velocity.

Role Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a substantial migration and platform modernisation backlog planned across coming quarters. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming and standardising CI/CD tooling, cloud infrastructure, and engineering practices across the Platform estate.

The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in GCP, Jenkins, Harness, Maven, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD automation, with a proven track record of delivering migration and platform engineering initiatives in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support migration activities across DevOps toolchain & cloud platforms.
• Migrate existing Jenkins pipelines to Harness ensuring minimal disruption to delivery teams.
• Support migration of repositories from GitHub.com to GitHub EU (GitHubs Enterprise Cloud services with data residency options in the European Union and EFTA countries).
• Contribute to GCP adoption and cloud modernisation activities.
• Migrate, standardise build & deployment pipelines onto engineering platform.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD best practices.
• Work closely with Engineering, Platform, Security, and Architecture teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Resolve technical debt and actively manage the migration backlog.
• Improve platform reliability, deployment velocity, and operational efficiency.
• Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• 5–8 years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Jenkins pipeline development & administration.
• Experience implementing and supporting Harness CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub repository management & branching strategies.
• Experience with Maven build automation and application deployment, management, and versioning using reusable Helm charts.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale migration or transformation initiatives.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python, Groovy, or similar).
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Desirable

• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred).
• Kubernetes and containerisation experience.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tooling.
• Financial services or regulated-industry experience.
• Experience working with enterprise engineering platforms and shared services.
