Job summary

Comviva is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Lead to design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across cloud platforms. You will enable development teams to build, deploy, and operate applications efficiently.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and monitoring stacks like Prometheus and Grafana. You will mentor juniors and drive DevOps best practices.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on DevOps experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong hands-on with Terraform for IaC and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Experience in security scanning (SAST/DAST), vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Lead / expert to join our dynamic DevOps team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to designing, implementing, and managing our automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on all cloud platforms. You will play a crucial role in enabling our development teams to build, deploy, and operate applications seamlessly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities : DevOps Expert

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and automated CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS DevOps services and other tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for applications, ensuring rapid and reliable releases to environments.
• Integrate security scanning (SAST/DAST), vulnerability management, and compliance checks into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for provisioning and managing resources.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and infrastructure configurations through scripting.
• Containerization & Orchestration:
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerizing, deploying, and managing applications.
• Knowledge of Helm charts for managing Kubernetes applications.
• Monitoring, Logging & Alerting:
• Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using AWS monitoring tools, Prometheus, Grafana, or other relevant tools to ensure application and infrastructure health.
• Configure alerts and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
• Scripting & Automation:Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks, developing custom tools, and interacting with APIs.
• Collaboration & Mentorship:
• Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and promote DevOps principles across the organization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on DevOps practices and cloud technologies.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and automation.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production and non-production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of proven hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, with significant experience on AWS, Azure platform.
• Demonstrable experience with DevOps services (Code Repositories, Build Pipelines, Deployment Pipelines, Artifact Registry, Container Registry).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools relevant to AWS / Azure/GCP, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of networking concepts within a cloud environment (VCNs, Load Balancers, VPNs).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• AWS certifications are highly preferred.
