Job summary

Siemens is seeking a DevOps Engineer - Polarion ALM Operations in Pune, India, to operate and support ALM applications, monitor performance, and handle incidents.

You will collaborate with Polarion team and partners, maintain operations documentation, and assist with cloud-based infrastructure rollouts. 2+ years in AWS/Azure cloud and strong problem-solving skills are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process end-user tickets and provide timely resolutions.
• Create and maintain service documentation and update knowledge base.
• Roll out new versions and infrastructure requirements (cloud-based) with partners.

• The ALM group is responsible to provide professional application services to our users of Siemens Mobility worldwide. We support our business units by hosting and managing different applications for the software builds for several Mobility products and projects.


• Continuous monitoring of processes, target-oriented and fast intervention and a high awareness of all current issues are key elements of successful operation and high user satisfaction.

• You will be responsible for operating and supporting the ALM applications in use (Polarion)


• You will monitor the applications and proactively prevent performance or security issues


• You will support monitoring, recognition, evaluation, troubleshooting and correction of system and network problems


• You will support users with questions and systematically process tickets from end users


• You will be in close contact with our Polarion team and our partners/suppliers


• You will support creating and maintaining the service documentation and regularly update the knowledge base


• You will support the rollout of new versions, products/solutions and services, as well as the infrastructure required (cloud-based)


• You will operate future applications in conjunction with our internal and external business partners


• Your qualifications - well-founded and adequate


• You have successfully finished studies in computer science or a comparable qualification with corresponding additional skills.


• You possess very good problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of confidentiality


• You have 3+ years of experience with ALM Applications and IT System operations


• You have experience with programming and scripting and modern Application and System monitoring Tools


• You have very good time management, organizational, and effective communication skills


• You are a good team player and can get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment


• Ideally, you have experience with Polarion ALM support or administration


• Ideally, you have experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems


• Ideally, you have 2+ years of experience with AWS or Azure Cloud in IT System Operation and Monitoring


• If you also have fluent knowledge of Business English (Level C1), are highly self-motivated and able to think in a customer-oriented way, then you are qualified to join us in our team!
