Role: DevOps Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad

You will join an established product and engineering organisation working on a real‑world eCommerce and manufacturing platform. We operate with regular releases, automated deployments, and multiple environments, with systems running across cloud‑hosted and virtualised environments. Teams collaborate closely across engineering, UX, QA, DevOps, and delivery, with a shared focus on building stable, high‑quality products.

Qualifications

• Experience managing application, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration.
• Hands‑on experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab and delivering Continuous Delivery and DevOps solutions and architecture patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and AWS CloudWatch.
• Experience in automating and managing large‑scale infrastructure.
• Experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Sonar, Selenium, Ansible.
• Experience with tooling & planning for automated build, delivery, and release of software.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux based systems.
• Experience working with cloud, preferably AWS.
• Strong with scripting – Shell, PowerShell, Python.
• Strong experience working with SQL & NoSQL database systems.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and prioritization skills.
• Self‑starter with research & development mindset.
• Hands‑on experience with .NET and .NET Core application builds and deployment.

Principle Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Understanding requirements and project KPIs.
• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
• Participate in planning & project management activities.
• Continuously looking to improve processes.
• Setting up tools and required infrastructure.
• Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
• Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
• Troubleshooting issues with infra, deployments or configuration.
• Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage.
• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.
• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
• Incidence management and root cause analysis.
• Coordination and communication within the team and with stakeholders.
• Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools.
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline).
• Mentoring and guiding the team members.
• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management.
