Job summary

Rekruton Global IT Services is seeking a DevOps Engineer I to join our Ahmedabad-based team. You will design, build, and maintain cloud environments with AWS, automate scaling and cost reductions, and handle CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.

The role involves on‑call rotations and collaboration with engineers to resolve issues. The candidate should be proficient in AWS services, Linux administration, scripting (Python/Shell), and database management (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AWS including EC2, S3, Route53, ECS, Lambda, RDS, IAM.
• Experience in Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL-based) server administration, adept at debugging and resolving system/application issues.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Shell scripting, etc.
• Competence in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing MySQL or PostgreSQL databases, including RDS instances.
• Capable of learning and maintaining web servers (e.g., NGINX), Firewalls, AWS ELB, etc.
• Familiarity with deployment and operations tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana is a must, DataDog is a plus.
• Understanding of containers such as Docker/Podman is essential and orchestration tools related to them is a must, such as AWS ECS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins pipelines, for automating software delivery processes.
• Flexibility to work during US hours when necessary.
