Haptik is a leading conversational AI company building bots for enterprises. We are seeking a DevOps Implementation Engineer to design, build, and maintain our large‑scale, container‑orchestrated platform.
What you will do daily
- Build, manage, and maintain large‑scale systems and architecture for our platform spanning multiple microservices.
- Shape the company’s architecture to support rapid, agile, and automated DevOps practices.
- Own and operate cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and implement pipelines for automated deployment and scaling.
- Build a security‑first architecture and implement security philosophies to create a bullet‑proof system.
- Assist development teams with infrastructure needs and provide technical support.
- Be available 24/7 for any production issues (Site Reliability).
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
- Research and implement new technologies to scale systems end to end.
- Create and maintain backlog on JIRA.
- Help with cost optimizations of infrastructure.
- Share knowledge across the team.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience as a DevOps Implementation Engineer or a similar software engineering role.
- Linux power‑user with familiarity across multiple Linux flavors (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Fedora, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and similar container orchestration methods.
- Significant technical, automation, and programming experience throughout the full lifecycle enterprise SDLC.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise software development tools and typical application architectures, with the ability to write scripted or compiled automation code.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, VPC, RDS, Route53, etc.) and other cloud platforms.
- Experience with next‑gen infrastructure & application monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, New Relic, Consul, etc.).
- Inquisitive, self‑starter, able to implement with minimal guidance.
- Experience with DevOps techniques and philosophies.
- Experience deploying and maintaining high‑traffic infrastructure (performance testing a plus).
- Extensive hands‑on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (plus).
- Expertise with scripting languages (Python and/or Shell).
- Experience with configuration management at scale (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
