Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Pune, India seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer to lead automation across CI/CD, tooling, and cloud platforms. You will help standardize, build, test, and deploy pipelines, collaborating with architecture and operations teams to deliver reliable production ready software.

Role requires deep DevOps experience, strong scripting capabilities, and hands-on use of Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Docker, and GCP services to enable rapid, secure releases across complex systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of DevOps experience and CI/CD implementation.
• Extensive tooling knowledge across Jenkins, Git, SVN, Ansible, Terraform, Artifactory, Sonar and Selenium.
• Cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Kotlin/Java development.
• Hands-on with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, and UCD for CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting in Groovy and Python.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architecture and operations to identify DevOps automation opportunities.
• Drive automation and standardization to maximise uptime and reliability.
• Automate administrative and operational support in cloud environments.
• Develop tools for state-of-the-art operations, including self-healing and scaling components.
• Support adoption of continuous delivery with automated testing and frequent releases.

Role Description

As a Devops Architect in the Transformation domain, you will be contributing to transformation in Devops across disparate technology stacks. As Deutsche Bank transitions towards Agile and DevOps, a key requirement of this role is to enable devops for various applications and critical programs to be able to deliver to production on demand. As an integral part of Transformation Devops team, you will be expected to recommend as well as publish best practices, fitment of tools and strategies.

Your key responsibilities

• Liaise with other streams (Architecture, SG/DB core build, Upstream, Downstream, Business, Operations, infrastructure services) and define potential areas of Devops automation, identify best tools and solutions


• Drive for automation and standardization to ensure smooth operations and maximized uptime


• Ability to automate administrative and operational systems support functions is an advantage (Like scripting and DevOps tools in cloud environments).


• Development of tools and features which support efficient and state of the art operations: self-healing components, scaling components, etc.


• Working with other engineers to support our adoption of continuous delivery, automating the building, packaging, testing and deployment of applications


• Creating the tools required to deploy and manage applications effectively in Test Environments, with minimal manual effort


• Helping teams to adopt modern delivery practices, such as extensive use of automated testing, continuous integration and more frequent releases.


• Configuring and managing code repositories, continuous builds, artefact repositories, cloud platforms and other tools


• Contributing towards a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond


• Sharing skills and knowledge in a wide range of topics relating to Devops and software delivery

Your skills and experience

• 10+ years of experience in understanding of Devops and implementation of Devops in project achieving CI/CD.


• Good Knowledge of industry standard tools for the implementation of Devops


• Minimum of 4 years' experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Ansible, Terraform, Artifactory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium


• Solid technical background in software development processes and hand-on experience with the tools that we use:


• Cloud Platform: GCP (Google Cloud Platform)


• Application development: Spring Boot, Kotlin/Java


• VCS: Git, Bitbucket, GitHub


• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, UCD


• Build tools: Jib, Maven, Gradle, NPM


• DevSecOps: SonarQube, JFrog Xray, Veracode


• Deployments, configuration, and infrastructure management: Docker, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, Liquibase


• Monitoring & SRE: Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Splunk


• Scripting: Groovy, Python


• Contribute design, implement automation in a Devops environment within public cloud (GCP) across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and containerized platforms.


• Managing application codebase including versioning and branching strategies


• Providing inputs to Deployment automation and orchestration strategy


• Setting up automated monitoring and reporting and analysis for all aspects of the devops environment


• Experience in integrating other applications with CI/CD pipeline by using plugins or creating bespoke scripts


• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
