Job summary

ALIANDO is seeking a senior Azure expert to design, deploy, and optimize Azure solutions for U.S. and international clients. You will lead migrations, create reference designs, and mentor engineers as part of a global, 24x7 support model.

The role requires strong Azure IaaS knowledge, Terraform deployment, and collaboration with Sales for Managed Services. A certified Azure expert credential is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in IT with at least 3 years supporting Azure.
• Lead migration projects from on‑premises to Azure.
• Knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS services, and related tools.
• Experience with migration tools, 3rd party tools, and PowerShell.
• Microsoft Azure certifications preferred (Architect/Security).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Level 3 resource supporting Azure customers.
• Design and document assessment, migration, and implementation plans.
• Deploy infrastructure using Terraform; work with Terraform, Azure DevOps.
• Mentor support engineers and lead projects for clients.
• Provide pre‑sales support to promote Managed Services.
• Participate in limited 24x7 on‑call rotation.

Job Requirements:

• Serve as Level 3 resource supporting Microsoft Azure customers. Requires knowledge of all major Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services including but not limited to:
• Networking: VNET, NSG, ASG, Route Tables, UDR, Subnets, Load Balancers, Express Route, Application Gateway
• Security Devices: NSG, ASG, Firewalls, AppFW, VPN Gateway, Bastion, WAF
• Identity Management: Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access
• Storage: Managed Disks, Attached Storage, Storage Accounts, Blob, Queue, File
• Platform as a Service: SQL, Web Apps, Event Hubs, Logic Apps
• Deploy Infrastructure for clients using Terraform. Must have in-depth knowledge of Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
• Work with Engineers and Support Technicians on resolving incidents and problems for customers.
• Design, document, and build solutions for the above-referenced services that meet customer needs around robust, scalable, dependable architecture services conforming to Microsoft’s established best practices.
• Design and document assessment, migration, and implementation plans to deploy business solutions using the appropriate and recommended Azure services.
• Serve as the technical expert in one or more Azure Services areas that can be relied upon by internal resources, customers, and vendors to answer questions and build reference designs.
• Assist with Sales as a Pre-Sales resource to answer customer inquiries and promote the Henson Group Managed Services to potential customers.
• Participate in limited 24x7 On-Call rotation to assist the global client base.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Maintain individual SLA and SLO standards in service to clients.
• Lead single projects and engagements with clients to implement new services.
• Serve as a mentor to 1 or more support engineers or support technicians by providing one-on-one technical training.
• Maintain customer and best practice documentation.

Qualification:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience working in IT, preferably in large environments, and at least three years of experience in supporting Azure.
• Lead migration projects for on-premises to Azure conversion for compute, storage, database, and or identity.
• Knowledge of tools and best practices required to operate Azure including migration tools, 3rd party tools, and PowerShell.
• Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues related to the Azure Platform
• Work experience in large international environments.
• Microsoft Expert Certification in at least one of these:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert or

And at least two of these:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Support Engineer for Connectivity Specialty
