Job summary

Deloitte Shared Services India is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and migration initiatives in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities include IaC with Terraform, robust CI/CD pipelines, Linux server management, and automation scripting. Candidates should have strong Azure expertise and security-focused mindset to ensure scalable and compliant cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or Cloud Migration Specialist.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform and IaC principles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage).
• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps, and Git branching.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to Microsoft Azure.
• Design, develop, and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform for Azure resources.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) in Azure.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Implement monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Splunk for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Enforce security best practices including RBAC and NSGs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Migrations:Lead and execute end-to-end cloud migration initiatives, moving on-premises infrastructure and applications to Microsoft Azure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Design, develop, and manage infrastructure as code usingTerraformfor provisioning Azure resources (VMs, networking, storage, etc.).
• CI/CD Pipeline Management:Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines usingAzure DevOpsor other tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to automate build, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Linux Administration:Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in the Azure environment, ensuring system performance, security patching, and compliance.
• Automation & Scripting:Develop automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitoring & Optimization:Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Splunk) to ensure optimal system performance, high availability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaboration & Support:Collaborate with cross-functional development, QA and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products in an Agile environment.
• Security & Compliance:Implement and enforce security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security groups (NSGs), and data protection strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or Cloud Migration Specialist.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform and experience with IaC principles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps, and experience with branching strategies (Git).
• Deep expertise in Linux operating systems administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104) are highly desirable.
