Responsibilities

Operate and govern Azure subscriptions, resource groups, access controls and cost tagging.

Coordinate disaster recovery activities and service restoration.
Produce cost reports and optimize cloud spend.
Maintain runbooks and SOPs for operations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to administer, monitor, support, and govern Microsoft Azure environments while ensuring platform availability, operational stability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency. The role involves Azure operations, DevOps engineering, GitHub administration, disaster recovery support, incident management, platform governance, automation, and continuous service improvement.

Role Description

The resource must work from the customer office five days a week and participate in on-call support during non-working hours, weekends, and holidays based on operational requirements. The role also requires availability for critical incident support, planned changes, and service restoration activities.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Operations & Platform Administration

Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, access controls, policies, tagging standards, and platform governance.
Maintain cloud operational controls, configuration standards, and security baselines.
Review and remediate configuration drift and policy compliance issues.
Provision and configure Azure resources through approved templates, processes, and change controls.
Validate infrastructure configurations before production deployment.

Monitoring, Incident Management & Service Restoration

Monitor Azure platform health, availability, utilization, capacity, and performance.
Investigate operational s and implement corrective or preventive actions.
Maintain operational dashboards and reporting for platform availability and capacity.
Own infrastructure incident triage, troubleshooting, escalation, restoration, and closure activities.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and recurring incidents.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams during incident resolution and participate in major incident reviews.

DevOps & GitHub Engineering

Design, configure, and manage Azure DevOps projects, repositories, pipelines, release management, Boards, Repos, Test Plans, and Artifacts.
Build and maintain multi-stage YAML pipelines with automated build, testing, validation, deployment, and release controls.
Design and govern GitHub Enterprise repository strategies, repository structures, access controls, environments, and reusable workflows.
Configure and support GitHub Actions workflows and environment-specific deployment controls.
Implement repository governance using Branch Protection Rules, CODEOWNERS, and Pull Request approval processes.
Manage GitHub secrets and credentials in alignment with enterprise security standards.
Administer GitHub Packages and container registries for secure artifact management.
Configure and manage GitHub security and dependency scanning capabilities.
Manage Azure DevOps service connections and integrations with Azure resources and deployment targets.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft-hosted and self-hosted Azure DevOps agents.

Disaster Recovery & Operational Resilience

Support disaster recovery planning, testing, service restoration, and operational readiness activities.
Participate in critical recovery scenarios to ensure business continuity and platform resilience.

Cost Management & Operational Governance

Monitor Azure consumption, budgets, cost anomalies, resource utilization, and tagging compliance.
Identify optimization and rightsizing opportunities to improve cloud efficiency.
Prepare periodic utilization and cost reports.
Execute standard, normal, and emergency changes following approved change management processes.
Maintain SOPs, runbooks, operational documentation, and knowledge articles.
Support cloud upgrades, migrations, platform enhancements, and new service rollouts.
Participate in operational reviews, service reviews, and governance meetings.
Identify automation opportunities and operational efficiencies.
