Job summary

Mphasis in Hyderabad is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate cloud deployments on GCP, and manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes. The role requires hands-on scripting, configuration management, and strong collaboration across development and operations teams.

You will monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, enforce reliability practices, and mentor peers while staying current with new technologies and industry

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with Java and Python programming.
• Strong scripting experience in Shell/Bash/Groovy.
• Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines; automation via Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (GKE/Anthos) for containerized workloads.
• Working experience with Ansible; cloud configuration, deployment, and migration on GCP.
• Experience with GCP products including Dataflow, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer.
• Proficiency with configuration management (Ansible/Chef/Puppet) and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Evangelize DevOps mindset and drive reliability through systematization.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in cloud/on-prem environments.
• Daily system monitoring and log review to ensure stability.
• Monitor stack across software, application, and network layers.
• Triage and diagnose/resolution of critical issues; manage changes.
• Identify reliability improvements and build scalable solutions.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for integrations and automation.
• Stay current with tech trends and mentor team members.
• Foster learning and knowledge sharing around reliability practices.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours support as needed.

Job description

Must have:

• Good experience in JavaPython programming
• Strong experience in Shell/Bash/Groovy scripting
• Experience in creating and managing CICD pipelines and automating them using any automation tool like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (GKE/Anthos)
• Working experience with Ansible
• Hands-on experience in any Major Cloud application configuration, deployment, support, and migration - GCP Cloud.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products, including Dataflow, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer.
• Solid experience using configuration management frameworks (e.g., Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
• Experience with Terraform

Good to have:

• 3-4 years of Spring Boot experience
• Knowledge of networking, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers and IP routing
• Experience with OS language Linux administration activities.
• Automation Experience using Ansible Playbooks.
• Experience with environment provisioning and deployment automation (Salt/Chef/Puppet)
• Knowledge of working with Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres DB.
• Experience with logging/application monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk) and at least 2 yrs of experience in writing Splunk queries to set up dashboards.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/bitbucket, TeamCity – administration activities

Certifications Needed: GCP, which will be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Evangelize DevOps mindset and solve problems through systematization.
• Proactively detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving all issues affecting non-production applications in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Perform proactive daily system monitoring including reviewing system and application logs.
• Monitor and troubleshooting issues across the entire stack - software, application, and network.
• Triage s & diagnosing/resolving critical issues, handling implementation of changes.
• Identify applications reliability and availability improvements, establish, and build solutions to continue to drive an improved experience.
• Coordinate across different stakeholders to establish and manage both internal and external integrations and automate the process along the way.
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal technology communities, and mentor other members of the team.
• Foster a culture of learning through education and knowledge sharing around reliability practices, processes, and tools.
• Participate in on-call and after hours support as needed and able to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
