Job summary

Contify is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, database server management, and deployment pipelines. You will maintain CI/CD pipelines and assist in deploying multiple services, including data crawling and processing pipelines.

Working with AWS Cloud, Docker/EKS, Jenkins and infrastructure automation, you will contribute to scalable, reliable systems and collaborate across teams to improve deployment and observability.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with 1-2 years of AWS experience.
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD (Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Experience in provisioning, configurations & Deployment (Dev, QA, Prod).
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch/Solr.
• Strong Linux knowledge, networking basics and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of automation of code quality tools like SonarQube.
• Experience provisioning & maintaining EC2 instances, EBS volumes.
• Knowledge of VPC, VPN and subnets.
• Disaster Recovery planning (Backups, restoration of services and data).
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible.

About The Role

• We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn DevOps Engineer to support and contribute to Contify’s cloud infrastructure, database server management, and deployment pipelines.
• In this role, you will help maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines while supporting the deployment and operation of multiple services, including data crawling, data processing, indexing pipelines, and caching infrastructure.
• You will work with AWS Cloud, containerized environments (Docker/EKS), Jenkins and infrastructure automation, while learning to build scalable, reliable, and secure systems. Familiarity with cloud fundamentals, networking concepts (DNS, VPCs, subnets), and database systems will be an added advantage.
• You will collaborate with Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to improve deployment processes, enhance system reliability and observability, and support the timely resolution of issues across staging and production environments.
• As part of a fast-growing platform managing large-scale data pipelines, you will have the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure enhancements and develop your DevOps expertise across Contify’s core platform, applications and data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines to support efficient application deployments.
• Support the deployment, monitoring, and operation of applications and data processing services across development, staging, and production environments.
• Help manage AWS cloud infrastructure and containerized workloads (Docker/EKS) to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation, configuration management, and operational documentation.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and assist in the timely resolution of production incidents and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to improve deployment processes, observability, and overall platform reliability.
• Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to build expertise in scalable cloud and platform operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Engineering Graduate (preferably computer science) with 1 to 2 years of experience with AWS.
• Must have worked on DevOps, including CI/CD (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
• Must have experience in Environment Provisioning, Configurations & Deployment (Dev, QA, Prod).
• Must have worked with one of the databases (Postgresql, Mysql, Mariadb, Redis, Elastic Search/Solr, etc.).
• Strong Experience in Linux OS, computer networking & must have worked in shell scripting (bash/sh, etc.).
• Good to have automation of Code Quality tools like SonarQube.
• Must have some experience in provisioning & maintenance of EC2 Instances, EBS Volumes.
• Must have knowledge of setting up VPC, VPN, and Subnets.
• Must have configured Disaster Recovery (Backups, Restoration of Services and Data / Databases).
• Should have handled ELB (Elastic Load Balancer) (Routing).
• Familiarity or Experience with infra frameworks like Terraform, Ansible will be an advantage.
