Job summary

The Intect in New Delhi is looking for a DevOps Engineer who will work on developing and maintaining a new CI/CD pipeline used across various products. You will utilize your software development experience to automate tasks and integrate solutions, contributing to the operations of cloud-based products.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years in DevOps, strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and proficiency in languages like Python or Go. You will collaborate with team members and other departments, actively participating in the Scrum process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile team to develop and maintain our newDevOpsCI/CD pipeline, which is being used by multiple products and services.
• Utilize your experience in software development to build and integrate solutions for automation of tasks.
• Help onboard our +50 internal services, products and components and revolutionize the way we build, test, operate and monitor our cloud-based products and services.
• Maintain an understanding of system functionality and architecture, with a strong focus on the operational aspects of the service (availability, performance, change management, emergency response, capacity planning, etc).
• Collaborate with your team members to review their work and have your work reviewed in turn.
• Work with other teams in deciding, developing integrations with other systems.
• Participate in Scrum software development lifecycle.
• Provide product support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work in a team environment where your team owns and operates the services you build.

Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science or similar.
• Have been involved in building and operating a DevOps CI/CD Pipeline.
• Experience writing automation using an object-oriented language like Python, Go or Java, plus Terraform and Unix Shell (bash, ksh).
• Experience creating Docker containers or Kubernetes deployments.
• 5 to 8 years of DevOps and/or build & release experience, including delivery to production.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git, SVN etc.), including branching and merging strategies.
• Managing monitoring and reporting systems, and building observability dashboards on application and server performance and scalability issues (examples: SignalFX, New Relic, or other operations monitoring tools).
• Centralized logging experience with Sumologic or similar products.
• Experience with continuous delivery and integration tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory.
• Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• Performed continuous deployment in a professional software engineering environment.
• Hands‑on Unix/Linux knowledge.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Ability to provide after‑hours support as needed for emergency or urgent situations.

Extra Credit

• Proficient with container‑based products like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work in a team and be a team player.
• Knowledge of other open source software like Drupal, MySQL and Apache.
