Qualifications

• 4–7 years of DevOps, SRE, or cloud infra experience.
• Deep hands-on with GCP services (GKE, Cloud Build, IAM, Compute Engine).
• Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration knowledge.
• Proven Jenkins experience with scripting and pipelines.
• Proficient in Terraform and infrastructure automation.
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• Experience with monitoring/alerting tools.
• Track record of cloud cost optimization.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and drive improvements in scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will manage Kubernetes workloads, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and proactively optimize cloud usage to ensure high performance at a sustainable cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure on GCP using Terraform.
• Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes (GKE) with a focus on performance and resource optimization.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, enabling automated testing and deployments.
• Set up and maintain observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, GCP Cloud Monitoring & Logging).
• Continuously monitor cloud usage, identify inefficiencies, and implement cost-saving measures (e.g., right-sizing, autoscaling, preemptible instances).
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application needs and business goals.
• Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements to avoid recurrence.
• Enforce security and compliance best practices across infrastructure and pipelines.

Required Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Deep hands-on experience with GCP services (GKE, Cloud Build, IAM, Compute Engine, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proven experience with Jenkins, including scripting and pipeline configuration.
• Proficient in Terraform and infrastructure automation.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Track record of implementing cost optimizations in cloud environments.

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience managing preemptible VMs, autoscaling, and other GCP cost-control strategies.
• Knowledge of service mesh (e.g., Istio) and API gateways (e.g., Envoy, Kong).
• Understanding of compliance/security standards (SOC2, ISO 27001).
