Qualifications

At Hyperface, Asia’s first Credit Cards as a Service (CCaaS) platform, we are reimagining the very foundation of credit card technology. Founded in 2021 by industry veterans Ramanathan RV (former co-founder of Juspay and creator of the UPI BHIM app) and Aishwarya Jaishankar (the banker behind India’s first digital savings account), Hyperface is building the modern operating system for credit cards, enabling banks and fintechs to launch, scale, and manage digital-first card programs with unmatched speed, control, and flexibility.

About the role

Hyperface operates at the intersection of banking and e-commerce. As a result, we need to demonstrate both stability and agility while paying a ton of attention to information security. Hyperface deploys code and runs its infrastructure in challenging environments thanks to these myriad forces. Often, there isn’t a playbook and we end up creating one.

DevOps role is a critical one for us given the hard requirements of the business that we are in. Services cannot afford downtimes and data must be accurate. State management is very critical and yet there are a variety of ways in which data is constantly in mutation. We would need you to be on your toes, make high-quality tests, show prudence in judgements, show depth in testing and work well under pressure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Intelligently plan, build and own parts of the infrastructure
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Work closely with application developers and help build environments
• Explore and identify the right tools for infrastructure/application monitoring
• Troubleshoot infrastructure/application issues
• Demonstrate a very high degree of ownership when it comes to system metrics
• Build defence mechanisms to ensure information security
• Work with auditors and Infosec counterparts from the bank to assure them of our data security
• Own the documentation for processes and keep it up to date

Required Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in building infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes & Terraform.
• DevOps & Platform Engineering: CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform,
  CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, etc.
