Job summary

Power Tech Consulting Pty Ltd. seeks an experienced DevOps and Platform Engineer to own the cloud platform for Azure and AWS. You will design, automate, secure, and streamline deployments, partnering with product engineers and the AI & Cloud Architect to own the path to production.

You will lead infrastructure as code, CI/CD, container workloads, and security controls while ensuring proper observability and audit-ready evidence for ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevOps/platform/cloud engineering with Azure and AWS workloads.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform and Bicep, review every plan before apply.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions with OIDC authentication to Azure/AWS.
• Experience running containerised workloads in production on Azure/AWS with immutable images.
• Depth in cloud identity, secrets management, and least-privilege security.

Power Tech Nexus is the productcompany of the Power Tech group. We build and run our own AI-driven softwareproducts for businesses in Australia and the region. We are a small teamgrowing deliberately, so every hire shapes how the product and the engineeringpractice turn out.

As DevOps and Platform Engineer,you'll own the cloud platform our products run on, across Azure and AWS. Thisis a build-and-run role: you'll design the platform, automate it, keep itsecure, and make releases routine. You'll work closely with the productengineers and the AI & Cloud Architect, and you'll have real ownership ofthe deployment path to production.

KeyResponsibilities

• Author,review, and apply infrastructure as code in Bicep and Terraform, with everyplan or what-if reviewed before apply.
• Buildand maintain CI/CD in GitHub Actions using federated (OIDC) credentials ratherthan stored secrets.
• Runcontainerised workloads on Azure Container Apps and AWS container services,releasing immutable image versions.
• Ownidentity, secrets, and network security for the platform, with least-privilegeaccess throughout.
• Buildobservability that tells the truth, covering logs, metrics, alerting, andhealth checks.
• Keepproduction and non-production environments properly separated and free ofconfiguration drift.
• Produceevidence for ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 controls as part of normal work.

Must-HaveSkills and Experience

• 10+ years in DevOps, platform, or cloud infrastructure engineering, runningproduction workloads on both Azure and AWS.
• Hands-oninfrastructure as code with Terraform and Bicep, including the discipline ofreviewing every plan or what-if before applying.
• Experiencebuilding CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including federated (OIDC)authentication to Azure and AWS.
• Experiencerunning containerised workloads in production, such as on Azure Container Apps,Amazon ECS, or EKS, with immutable, versioned images.
• Practicaldepth in cloud identity, secrets management, and network security, applied withleast privilege.
• Experiencebuilding observability with logs, metrics, alerting, and health checks, usingtools such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
• Experienceworking under security or compliance controls and producing evidence auditorscan rely on.

DesirableSkills

• Arecognised certification such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), AWSCertified DevOps Engineer Professional, or Terraform Associate.
• Kubernetesexperience.
• Experiencesupporting ISO 27001 or ISO 42001 audits or working with a complianceautomation platform.

Education
