Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a strong tester with expertise in web and mobile app testing (Android and iOS). You will perform manual testing of mobile applications, use adb commands, and capture device logs.

The role emphasizes user-focused testing, script review, and defect reporting within an Agile delivery cycle. Requirements include knowledge of Android SDK, adb, Xcode, and ability to document test results thoroughly.

Qualifications

• Strong tester with web and mobile app focus.
• Experience performing manual testing of mobile applications.
• Knowledge of adb commands and Android versions; passion for Health/Wellbeing apps.
• Experience with Android SDK, adb, XCode; ability to capture logs and device details.
• Ability to think from a user perspective and execute testing accordingly.
• Experience writing, reviewing and analyzing test scripts.
• Experience with defect management and reporting systems.
• Experience with test automation procedures.
• Excellent troubleshooting, test planning, test case definition and execution skills.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of product release processes in fast-paced cycles.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational/documentation skills.
• Exposure to Linux/Unix scripts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Will design and execute test cases for mobile apps (web, Android, iOS).
• Capture logs and device information; report defects clearly.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum sprints and contribute to test planning.
• Develop and maintain test scripts and automation where applicable.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality releases.

• Strong tester, well-versed with web and Android and iOS
• Experience performing manual testing of mobile applications
• Requires knowledge on adb commands and android versions. Must be passionate about or have knowledge of Health/Wellbeing mobile applications.
• Experience with – Android SDK, Adb, XCode, and ability to capture necessary logs, details of the device, flashing of devices
• Ability to think & execute testing from a user’s perspective
• Detailed ability to write,review and analyze test scripts
• Experience with defect management and reporting systems
• Experience with test automation procedures
• Excellent Troubleshooting Skills, with good skills in - Test Test planning, defining test cases, and executing test scripts
• Must have testing experience within Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Good understanding of product release process in a fast paced development cycle
• Good analytical thinking, attention to detail
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Working exposure on Linux/Unix scripts is good to have
