Job summary

Amazon India in Chennai is seeking a Device Associates QA professional to perform manual black box testing for Amazon Assistant products on desktop and mobile. You will execute test cases, report results, and ensure timely delivery.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Device Associates at Amazon perform manual black box testing on advanced applications and products from an end-user perspective. Their core focus is accurately executing test cases, meeting deadlines, and reporting results precisely.They execute test cases for software builds on desktop and mobile platforms.
• Responsibilities include regression testing, bug reporting, using tools like ADB commands, and escalating issues via portals while adhering to SLAs.
• Daily tasks involve capturing results, providing status reports, and troubleshooting via scripts.
• Execute test cases prepared for testing Software builds on the Desktop and Mobile platforms for Amazon Assistant Products.
• Perform test case execution and report bugs accurately.
• Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new builds / releases.
• Perform regression and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising on quality.
• Use software tools for data capture on a daily basis like adb command.
• Be comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures and providing individual status reports
• Raising all failures/doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal and closing the same as per the SLA’s
• Basic knowledge of reading scripts for trouble shooting.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
• 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or BS degree in computer science or equivalent
