Job description

Device Associate, Device OS Tech Support

• Ensure to execute test cases prepared for testing Software builds on the mobile platform.
• Perform daily quality checks as per established guidelines and report deviations accurately.
• Understand and ramp up on testing procedures, guidelines and policies for new devices and apply the same in day-to-day work.
• Use software tools for validation, analysis and data capture on a daily basis.
• Be comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures and providing status reports.

Key job responsibilities:

1. Follow SOP/ predefined test cases and execute test cases prepared for testing Software builds on multiple platforms.
2. Raise defects for all failures observed and track doubts related to the execution of test instructions through pre-defined mechanisms.
3. Responsible for security and maintenance of the company assets, accessories, and devices allocated to perform daily operations.
4. Understand testing procedures, guidelines, and policies for new devices and apply the same in day-to-day work.
5. Use software tools for validation, analysis, and data capture daily.
6. Capture and communicate test results, escalate failures, and deep dive on defects to identify root cause.
7. Identify improvements that help project key metrics such as productivity, defect leakage, quality in work assignments, errors, mismatches, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Good communication skills.
- Testing knowledge.
- Good analytical skills.
- Experience of testing consumer devices will be a plus.
