Job summary

Aga Khan Rural Support Programme India (AKRSP India) invites passionate professionals for field-level roles in rural development across Madhya Pradesh. The position focuses on community mobilization, SHG capacity building, and implementing livelihood activities to improve livelihoods.

Required qualifications include a degree in Agriculture, strong command of English/Hindi/local language, and hands-on computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Agriculture or related field.
• 1–2 years grass root experience in rural development; freshers may apply.
• Proficient in English, Hindi and local language.
• Strong knowledge of rural development programmes.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Community mobilization and SHG capacity building.
• Plan and implement agricultural production activities for core beneficiaries.
• Data base management of activities like goat rearing, vermicompost, irrigation, green net house, conservation agriculture.
• Provide training on agricultural technologies and dissemination among farmers; liaise with universities and NABARD, banks.
• Documentation of programme area; support monitoring systems; participate in livelihood activities.

Education: B.Sc /MSc. Agriculture/B.Tech (Agri. engineering)

Experience: 1- 2 years of grass root experience in rural development sector, Fresher can also apply.

• Strong knowledge of rural development programme.

Job Profile:

• Community mobilization institution development Participatory planning with stakeholder community and capacity building of SHG Groups, Community, volunteer’s and institutions.
• Understand the community and core issues of rural development in context with livelihood activities for the field area identification the potential market and develop a plan of agricultural production for our core beneficiaries.
• Follow up the data base management of existing of activities like goat rearing, vermicompost, group irrigation system, green net house nursery, reason agree culture, conservation agriculture.
• To impart training regarding ongoing activities as well as dissemination of information about new agricultural technologies and methodises among the farmers, establish relationships with agricultural universities and related bodies like KVK, NABARD, Bank etc.
• Ensuring documentation related to the programme of the respective area.
• To support in strengthening process documentation and monitoring systems.
• Participation in other livelihood activities and social development.
