Job summary

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to steer parallel modernization streams across our core backend systems. In this role, you will refactor and convert legacy applications into modern, high-performance C# services, mentor development teams, perform rigorous code reviews, and enforce secure, scalable software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Modernization Leadership: Lead parallel technical workstreams converting legacy systems into clean domain/service/repository-based architectures.
• Code & Architecture Governance: Provide hands-on code reviews, technical guidance, performance tuning, and enforce secure coding standards across the engineering team.
• API & Core Development: Design and build high-performance backend systems, REST APIs, and documentation leveraging .NET 8+, Minimal APIs, NativeAOT, EF Core, and Dapper/Dapper.AOT.

Qualifications & Tech Stack

• Core Technology: Expertise in C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, Minimal APIs, NativeAOT, OpenAPI/Swagger, and RESTful architectures.
• Data Access: Proficient with ORMs and data tools including EF Core, Dapper, and Dapper.AOT.
• Architecture: Proven track record refactoring legacy codebases into clean layered patterns (Domain, Service, Repository).

Preferred Experience

• Relational database experience with MariaDB or MySQL.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and containerized Linux deployment.
• Exposure to enterprise or industrial-scale applications.
