Job summary

UST is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer III to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions. The role emphasizes architecture, governance, security, and scalability, with leadership responsibilities for mentoring junior developers and shaping technical standards.

You will work across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, and Copilot Studio, integrating with Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, and external systems to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of overall software/application development experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions.
• Strong experience integrating Microsoft technologies and third-party applications.
• Knowledge of governance, security, compliance and ALM best practices.
• Experience in Agile software development is preferred.

Role Description

Power Platform Developer III (Senior) is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio, along with strong integration capabilities across Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, and third-party platforms. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership in solution architecture, establish development standards, mentor junior team members, and ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, governance, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Architecture
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing Power Platform solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
• Define solution architecture, data models, integration patterns, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategies.
• Recommend the optimal use of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, Power BI, and Copilot Studio components.
• Ensure solutions follow industry best practices for performance, usability, maintainability, and governance.

Application Development

• Develop and maintain Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Power Platform best practices.
• Create reusable components, custom connectors, Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls, plugins, and extensions.
• Implement user-friendly, responsive applications that improve operational efficiency and business productivity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Workflow Automation

• Design, develop, and support complex workflows using Power Automate.
• Automate business processes while ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate automated workflows with Microsoft 365 services, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and external APIs.
• Monitor and optimize workflow performance to support evolving business needs.

Data Management & Integration

• Design and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, and security models.
• Develop integrations with enterprise systems using REST APIs, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps, and custom connectors.
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, security, and optimal performance across integrated solutions.
• Support data migration, synchronization, and transformation initiatives as required.

Governance, Security & Compliance

• Adhere to enterprise governance standards and Power Platform best practices.
• Implement role-based security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, auditing, and compliance controls.
• Support environment strategy, solution deployment processes, and platform monitoring activities.
• Ensure solutions meet organizational security and regulatory requirements.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers and project teams.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and design principles.
• Participate in technical planning, effort estimation, architecture reviews, and solution design discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement in development practices and team capabilities.

Support & Continuous Improvement

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through effective root cause analysis.
• Optimize existing applications, workflows, and integrations for performance and maintainability.
