Job summary

Flex in Chennai, India is seeking a BI/Analytics Developer to design and deliver reports and dashboards across business domains. You will work with BI tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI and Denodo to enable actionable insights and intelligent reporting for AI-enabled analytics.

The role involves SDLC collaboration, data warehousing basics, and hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL. This on-site position offers health insurance and PTO as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in BI and analytics
• Basic understanding of AI, ML, and AI-powered analytics within BI
• Experience in creating reports and dashboards across multiple BI tools
• Knowledge of security options in BI tools (row-level/column-level)
• Experience migrating BI tools is a plus
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
• Experience with Snowflake data platforms is advantageous
• Proactive communication with team members and non-technical users

What a typical day looks like:

• Utilize AI-enabled analytics capabilities, including intelligent insights, automated reporting, predictive analysis, and generative AI tools, to improve decision-making and business outcomes.
• Develop a strong understanding of both business processes and technical solutions, demonstrating end-to-end analytical capabilities across functional and technology domains.
• Working in the Data & Analytics area especially in Business Intelligence tools, Data Warehousing technologies, with Hands on experience on multiple BI Tools (mentioned below)
• Designing solutions and developing Reports, Dashboards to address functional as well as logical requirements in Supply chain, Finance etc.
• Working with SDLC projects in collaboration with different teams.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• 2- 5 years of experience in the below technologies.
• Basic understanding of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and AI-powered analytics capabilities within BI and data platforms is highly desirable
• Ability to work in different types of BI requirements from simple to complex reports and dashboards.
• Must have work experience in more than one BI tool like MicroStrategy, Denodo & Power BI
• Build, enhance, and optimize reports, dashboards, semantic layers, and data visualizations to meet business needs.
• Working experience in different security options in BI tools like row level and column level, Query Banding etc.
• Working experience from migrating one BI tool to another BI tool will be added advantage for this role.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize BI reports, ETL processes, and database objects to maintain and improve system performance.
• Experience or knowledge in the latest data management platform like Snowflake etc.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate well with other members of the team and with non-technical end users Self-directed, organized, and motivated.
• Exhibit Enthusiasm in learning new technologies.
• Experience in the technologies: BI tools - MicroStrategy, Tableau and Power BI & Data Visualization – Denodo
• Exposure to Python, AI/ML frameworks, or AI-enabled analytics platforms will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Database - Oracle/SQL/Snowflake & Strong in SQL & PL/SQL, Database.
