Requisition Description

We are looking for a Dev QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications, dashboards, and services. The candidate will own the testing lifecycle analysing requirements, designing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, and reporting defects working closely with developers, product owners, and release teams to deliver high-quality software. The ideal candidate combines strong manual testing fundamentals with hands-on test automation, is comfortable testing REST APIs and validating data via SQL, and takes ownership of quality throughout the development and release cycle in an Agile environment.

Skills & QualificationsCore (required): manual testing fundamentals (test case design, defect lifecycle); test automation with at least one framework (Selenium/Playwright/Cypress or similar); API testing (Postman/REST Assured); SQL for data validation; defect-tracking tools (JIRA or similar); Git.

Nice to have: performance testing (JMeter/Gatling); BDD (Cucumber); CI/CD exposure (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions); scripting in Python/Java/JavaScript.

Roles and Responsibilities

Test Design & Planning

Analyze business and functional requirements to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

Design, document, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test data.

Contribute to the definition of quality standards and coverage for each release.

Test Execution

Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UI testing (manual and automated).

Perform API testing (REST/JSON) using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.

Validate data and back-end behavior using SQL queries.

Test Automation

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and suites (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent).

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.

Defect Management & Reporting

Log, track, prioritize, and retest defects through resolution.

Report test status, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and release sign-off.

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with developers to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
